　シェイクスピアの戯曲を題材とするヴェルディのオペラ『マクベス』。通常演奏される1865年改訂版に加え、1847年の初稿版エンディングも収録。（東京エムプラス）

ヴェルディ（1813-1901）

1813年10月10日、ジュゼッペ・フォルトゥニオ・フランチェスコ・ヴェルディは、カルロ・ヴェルディの10番目の子供として、ブッセート近郊レ・ロンコーレに誕生。この頃は政情が不安で、翌年1月には同地にロシア軍が侵攻しています。生家は旅館兼居酒屋を営み、宿泊客の旅芸人の音楽に幼少から惹かれていたとのこと。1821年、父親からスピネットを買ってもらい、やがてピエトロ・バイストロッキにオルガンの奏法も習
