目玉はブルックナーの第３番、第７番、第８番、第９番！
巨匠ギュンター・ヴァントが手兵ハンブルク北ドイツ放送交響楽団を指揮したコンサートの模様をライヴ収録したセットの第２弾。
ここではヴァントの代名詞ともいうべきブルックナーの交響曲が、ＣＤ全７枚のうち５枚分、1985年の第３番、1999年の第７番、2000年の第８番、1998年の第９番と４曲も収められており、ヴァントがもっとも信頼を寄せていた楽団との顔合わせでたっぷりと楽しめるのはなによりの魅力といえるでしょう。
このたびももちろん、ブルックナーを含む収録曲すべてが、ＢＭＧリリースとは一切重複なしの未発売の内容で、ハンブルク北ドイツ放送響と合唱団のインテンダントでＮＤＲの音楽部長も務める「ヴァントの杖」こと、ロルフ・ベックが監修にあたっており、ＮＤＲ提供のオリジナルマスターによりＣＤ化されているため、音質面も万全の仕上がりとなっています。
なお、モーツァルトの交響曲第40番と、オピッツ独奏のシューマンの協奏曲は、先行単発リリース済みのもの（PH13030）と同一の内容になります。（キングインターナショナル）
