「チェネレントラ」はアッバードの録音の中でも特筆して上位に位置するものである。管弦楽と歌の精妙な関わり合い、小気味のよいクレッシェンドには、一切の誇張も無駄もない。快感と興奮、感動が随所に展開されていて素晴らしい。

ベルガンサのロッシーニは特別です。この「チェネレントラ」、シルヴィオ・ヴァルヴィーゾとの「アルジェのイタリア女」「セヴィリアの理髪師」はこれらの曲の代表的な名演です。 この「チェネレントラ」はアバドの元気な音楽とベルガンサの美しい声、他の歌手の生き生きした歌が気持ち良くしてくれます。意地悪姉二人はアバド、スカラ座のＤＶＤと同じグルエルミとザンニーニが歌っています。
