Eugenie Russo : Crossing Borders -Brahms, Debussy, Wellesz

NYC-born pianist Eugenie Russo's latest Orlando Records label CD release concentrates on piano music bordering the era of transition from the Romantic to the Modern era that despite the passing of a century or more still feels and sounds modern and contemporary: Johannes Brahms' op 76, Claude Debussy's Images and rarely heard works by Egon Wellesz written between 1912-19, Three Dances, Op 10 and Six Piano Pieces, Op 26. - Ms. Russo studied piano at Oberlin Conservatory, furthering her studies in Vienna and Salzburg before embarking on a now long, distinguished performing and academic career.
