サンフランシスコ交響楽団との2枚は、演奏が立派すぎるくらい立派。むしろ、3枚目のコロンビア・ジャズ・バンドやコロンビア・ジャズ・バンドの方がガーシュウィンらしさがある。「オブ・ジー・アイ・シング」は演奏以前に曲の好悪がわかれるかもしれない。7枚目のサラ・ヴォーンは印象的。
