6番は最初が暗く苦渋に満ちた出だしで始まるので、その時点で聴くのを止めてしまいそうな人もいそうですが、その後はドラマチックに盛り上がり、華麗でグラズノフの卓越したオーケストレーションを存分に楽しめます。セレブリエールの指揮は程よい客観性と主観性でこの曲のファーストチョイスにお勧め。でも、他の演奏にはない箇所でシンバルが！彼のグラズノフ・チクルス、7番でも銅鑼を追加したりと、意外と恣意的なことをやったりも。
