ゲルハーヘルの上品な歌唱とフーバーの心のこもった伴奏が素敵。録音も良く魅力的な一枚。

メータのマーラー５番は当盤を含め３種聴いたがいずれも厭味が無く好印象。５番に限らずメータのマーラーは案外良いというのが小生の持論。

ベートーヴェン（�ｂT＆７）、マーラー（�ｂT）と聴いて好印象を持っていたが、今回は関心しなかった。なんだか分からないまま終楽章に突っ込んで終わってしまった感じ。
