Tierkreis [Zodiac] is one of the most beautiful and accessible compositions by Karlheinz Stockhausen, which he issued in several different arrangements, allowing each interpreter to create his or her own version by using special formulas. With regard to his Realization 1 Svoboda, who had worked in close cooperation with Stockhausen for some years, says: I approached the composition the way jazz musicians approach a standard: they take inspiration from the melody and harmonic sequences and then express themselves spontaneously and very individually. In the second realization he gave the musicians just a few improvisational structures and asked them to improvise freely on Stockhausen's melodies. Mike Svoboda's two realizations are a wonderful clarification of the composition.

T.G.さんのレビューを読んでから購入すればよかった…このアルバムを最初に聴いてしまいました。でも，何ともいえない“浮遊感”は十分に味わえました。目を閉じて聴くと，漆黒の宇宙空間に完全な脱力状態で浮かんでいるような感じです（かつて，アルゲリッチとクレーメルのバルトークのライブで同じような体験をしたことがあります）。これから，ご指摘のものを聴いていきたいと思います。依然として，現代音楽には馴染めない状態が続いているのですが，これは興味深く付き合っていけそうな作品です。

余計な事かもしれませんが、この１２宮はまずＳＶ２４のオルゴール版、ＳＶ３５のトリオ版をまずお聞きになる事をおすすめします。そうでないとここでデフォルメされ又インプロヴァイズされている事が良くわからないかもしれません。
