Haven’t We Met? is a compilation 10 years in the making, but worth the wait! This CD sparkles with interesting classics and memorable new songs from some of the best Jazz musicians and vocalists working in the field today. The music contained in this collection is what you would expect from Cafe Apres-midi and Suburbia Factory, only the finest. From the opening track ”A Beginning Dream” by Triste Janero, continuing with ”Bumblebee” by the great Roman Andren, and ”My Lover” by Lui Williams this continues to please throughout the incredible playlist. New interpretations of familiar compositions such as Sade’s ”Kiss Of Life” performed by Rachel Z and the Beatle’s ”If I Fell” performed by Nando Lauria breathe an air of freshness. If you love classic Jazz, and beautifully lush vocals, to truly create a mood, this CD is a must!

とても贅沢1枚。80分ぎっしりの素晴らしい名曲ばかりです。 選曲と曲順が良いから、80分間、中だるみなしで、気持ちよく聴けます。 ケニー・ランキンのハヴント・ウィ・メットはチェスキーレーベルのヴァージョン、ベニー・シングスのメイク・ア・レインボウはレコードにしか収録されてなかった拍手なしのバージョン。初めて聴いたランドン・ピッグ？の曲なんて、ものすごくイイ曲でした。ラストのルイス・ヴァン・ダイクの演奏はとても切なく美しい。全て聴き終わったあと、なんとも言えない静かな興奮と心地よさに包まれた。こんなコンピは久しぶりだな……
