23年間演奏してきたルンゲ＆アモン・デュオによるアルバム「オピウム」は、1920年代の創造的で退廃的な時代を反映しています。それは、覚醒、混乱、官能、恍惚、誘惑の時代であると同時に、迫り来る破滅の予感を伴ってもいました。コルンゴルト、マーラー、ブロッホ、ヒンデミット、ゲーゼ、ラヴェル、ガーシュウィンの楽曲に加え、クルト・ヴァイルの「三文オペラ」と「マリー・ガランテ」からの抜粋を新たに編曲。世界的に高い評価を得ているTVドラマ・シリーズ「バビロン・ベルリン」の音楽も収録。
 　装丁はデジパック仕様で、ブックレット （ドイツ語、英語・24ページ）には、ドイツの音楽ジャーナリストでオルガニストのハンナ・シュミットによる解説などが掲載。EU製で、ディスクはメジャー・レーベルでもおなじみの独オプティマル・メディアが製造。
