★ビリー・ホリデイの晩年のベストと呼び声の高い、1956年のカーネギーホール公演を収録したライブ盤。このライブはビリーの自伝『Lady Sings the Blues』のプロモーションのために開かれ、ギルバート・ミルスタインによる朗読が、随所に挟まれている。オリジナルは、ビリーが 1959年7月17日に44歳で亡くなってから約2年後の1961年に発売。本作は180g重量にて復刻したもの。
