This remastered version is again infinitely superior to the uk disc I own, adding greatly to the immediacy of the performance.The interpretation ,although slightly underpowered to start with,soon gains momentum and develops into one of Muti’s better performances on disc,the last movement in particular being riveting in its thrust and impulse.The coupled ”Francesca da Rimini” is just as good,making this a very recommendable disc
