ドニゼッティ：歌劇 『連隊の娘』 全曲フローレスとデセイの共演！
来日公演やデッカのＤＶＤでもおなじみのフローレスによるトニオ役は、『連隊の娘』の中のハイライトでもある『友よ、きょうは何と楽しい日』での9回のハイCがとにかく聴きもの。クラウスやパヴァロッティとはまた違ったリアリスティックな歌が印象的です。
主役のマリーには人気のナタリー・デセイが起用され、兵士たちのアイドル的存在である役どころを魅力たっぷりに演じます。その驚異的な技巧と演技力はマリー役の最高峰と称えたくなる素晴らしさで、上演全体の水準を引き上げるパワーさえ感じさせるほど。 マリーの母親役のベルケンフィールド侯爵夫人役は、さきごろビシュコフの『エレクトラ』でポラスキの主役にひけをとらないクリテムネストラ役の熱演が凄かったフェリシティ・パーマーが歌っています。
指揮は、『連隊の娘』屈指の名盤として有名なアルフレード・クラウスとジューン・アンダースンの共演盤（1989）や、ウィリアム・マテウッツィとルチアーナ・セッラの共演盤（1989）でも指揮をしていた名匠ブルーノ・カンパネッラが担当。
演出はラモー『プラテー』やオッフェンバック『美しきエレーヌ』『天国と地獄』、プロコフィエフ『３つのオレンジへの恋』でのカラフルでスタイリッシュかつ斬新な芸風のローラン・ペリーが担当。舞台設定を第一次世界大戦の時代に読み替えて、効果的な演技を引き出すことに成功しており、大喝采を得ることとなりました。フランス語歌唱。
