About Used Items

- Quality -
The quality of the used items will differ individually.
All items will be checked however, there are possibilities of damaged items.


Media quality (used mainly for products such as CDs and DVDs)
The quality of the board is indicated by the grade of the condition such as scratches on the board when it was inspected at the time of the
assessment of the product.

S: Unopened item or similar to new
A: When it is opened but there is no scratch or there is a minute scratch
AB: If there is one or more scratches, but it is a small scratch or a thin scratch
B: When it is a product that clearly shows that there is a scratch, and multiple scratches are also recognized
C: Reproduction is possible, but it is obvious that there are many scratches ※ It may not be possible depending on the player to reproduce.

About the state (used mainly for products such as books, games and goods)
The state is graded to indicate the state of the entire product when it was inspected at the time of the assessment of the product.

S: Unopened item or similar to new
A: If there is no scratch or rubbing, or if there is a minute scratch or rubbing
AB: When there are scratches or rubbing, and when it is possible to see faded or dirty appearance
B: When the product is highly scratched or rubbed, and multiple scratches or rubs are also recognized. Some look faded and dirty.
C: When there is a tear etc. depending on the thing. The degree of scratching or rubbing is too bad, and if it is clearly faded or stained.

- Cases -
Cases will be changed depending on the condition. You may not receive the item with the original case.
If the item is manufactured in special cases or digi-package, the case will not be changed or exchangeable.

- Promotion and Novelty -
The availability and conditions of obi, novelty, sleeve case, application forms, liner notes, translations are not be guaranteed. Return and exchanging of items for thus reason will not be accepted.

- Limited Edition and Standard Edition -
First Press Limited and Standard Edition with same catalog number (item number) or bar code will not be distinguished.

- Inquires -
Details about conditions, availability of obi, limited editions, stock number, or content of the items will not be accepted.


About Return Item
Returning and exchanging used items will not be accepted unless faulty item.
Check details before placing your order.

To return faulty item, please report the details within 7 days of delivery, to the HMV Customer Service Department. Include your name, order number, title of the item and the reason for returning the item.
We will refund after we receive the item and examine.

* Items will not be accepted more than 7 days after the delivery date.
* Unplayable CD, DVD, and Blu-ray Discs on computer, game hardware, or car stereos will not be accepted for return.
* If the reason for the return does not match the condition of the item, return may not be accepted.
* We do not accept any returns other than faulty items. Please carefully select the items you would like to order.

Used item can not be exchanged with the same item.
If you wish to return items we can only refund the cost of purchase.


About Cancellation
Cancellation of your order will be accepted if the item is not ready for dispatch.
If the order is already ready for shipping or is shipped, cancellation will not be accepted.

　2. Select the item you wish to cancel and click the "Cancel" box.

Once the order is placed, changing items, number of items, or adding items to the same order will not be accepted.

The stocks for used items are usually one. Items may be sold out or unavailable depending on the timing of placing it into cart. In such circumstance it will be cancelled.

About Price
The condition of the item or the availability of the novelty does not reflect on the price.
The price will constantly change. Same items may also have different prices.
For some items used price may be higher than the original price.

About Novelty & Bonus
Novelty, enclosed novelty or bonus goods will not be available for used items.
Return and exchanging of items for thus reason will not be accepted.


About Physical HMV STORE
Used Items can not be purchased at physical HMV STORES, LAWSON HOT STATION (Rakuten), Bidders, au Shopping Mall.
Used Item can not be ordered and be picked up at physical HMV STORES.
