両曲ともに冠絶の名演。人はヨーロッパ室内との再録を上に評価するが、私は断然この2回目録音のEMI盤の演奏を上に置く。最近聴いたアシュケナージのシベリウスも良いが、オケの響きが醸し出すニュアンス等、ベルグルントがより素晴らしく、どこもかしこもフィンランドのシベリウスになっている。
