アラーニャ、デセイ、ダム、ナガノ＆リヨン歌劇場

「マイケル・ケイ校訂版」を使用した『ホフマン物語』。異稿版好きのケント・ナガノらしいチョイスです。作曲者のスケッチなども含め校訂したというこの版、有名アリアがなかったり、エンディングも変わっていたりと、通常出回っているシューダン版に慣れた人には、かなり新鮮に聴こえるのではないでしょうか。アラーニャの美声と、当時絶頂期だったデセイの卓越した歌唱が聴きものです。
　なお、ブックレットは簡単な解説・あらすじ（欧文）のみとなり、歌詞・対訳は付いておりません。（WARNER）
