幻の’’LAST WORDS’’が発売中止になり、未発表だった分はしっかりBootlegの’’Black Album’’として世に出てマニアは、とっくにこのアンソロジーのすべてを手に入れている。確かに一般のファンには便利かもしれないが、むしろよけいなものを除いて純粋にベスト盤として出した方が役に立ったのではないだろうか。マニアには不要で、一般にも中途半端なアルバムであることは否めない。他人のアルバムに参加した物をまとめたアルバムのように、一定のコンセプトがはっきりしたものは出せないのだろうか。さすがに没後20年を経過して、だいたい出尽くした感があるわけで、マイルスファンはもう新しい物に対しては期待はもてないのかもしれない。
