ルドルフ・ビーブルさん死去
1月27日、オーストリアの指揮者、ルドルフ・ビーブルさんが亡くなられました。オペレッタのエキスパートとして知られたビーブルさんは、生涯に『メリーウィドウ』を2000回以上、『こうもり』は1000回以上も指揮、有名作品以外にも精通し、暗譜しているオペレッタが50曲以上、最も関係の深かったウィーンのフォルクスオーパーでの指揮回数は2200回以上、今年1月1日にはフォルクスオーパーで『こうもり』を指揮しており、それが最後の舞台となりました。ビーブルさんは日本もたびたび訪れており、1979年の初来日から2016年5月の公演までの実に37年間に渡り、折に触れ日本の聴衆を楽しませてきました。心よりご冥福をお祈りいたします。
【プロフィール】
1929年5月4日、ウィーンに誕生。ウィーン音楽アカデミーで指揮と作曲、クラリネット、ピアノを修め、卒業後の1948年、グラーツ歌劇場のコレペティトゥ−アになり、1952年にはインスブルックのカペルマイスターに就任しています。1960年からはウィーンのライムント劇場とアン・デア・ウィーン劇場で働き、その後、フランクフルトやルクセンブルクへの客演指揮を経て、1973年、ウィーン・フォルクスオーパーの指揮者となります。1995年からはメルビッシュ湖上音楽祭の指揮者、音楽監督に就任していました。（HMV）
