ドゥダメル／マーラー：『千人の交響曲』
マーラー没後１００年を記念して、カラカスで行われた１４００人の激演！
マーラーの没後１００年を記念して2012年２月18日にべネズエラのカラカスで行われたマーラー・プロジェクトをライヴで収録。
グスターボ・ドゥダメル指揮による『千人の交響曲』公演には、盛大な賞賛が贈られました。べネズエラ国立青年合唱団の子どもたちによる天使の歌声。そして、ロサンジェルス・フィルハーモニックとシモン・ボリバル交響楽団による繊細な演奏。３人のソプラノ歌手マヌエラ・ウール、ジュリアナ・ディ・ジャコモ、キーラ・ダフィーと、２人のアルト歌手アンナ・ラーション、シャルロッテ・ヘレカント、テノール歌手ブルクハルト・フリッツ、バリトン歌手ブライアン・マリガン、そしてバス歌手アレクサンドル・ヴィノグラードフらの圧倒的な美声。全ての旋律をとりまとめるドゥダメルのダイナミックで開放感に溢れた指揮。総勢1400人を超える音楽家が一同に介した『交響曲第８番』は、圧巻です。
この記念すべきコンサートの映像は、６月22日に一日限りのシアター上映ということで、日本でも５つの会場にて限定上映され、大反響を呼びました。そしてその映像がドイツ・グラモフォンからリリースされることになりました。まるでのカラカスの会場にいるかのような臨場感溢れる映像を心行くまでお楽しみください。（ユニバーサルＩＭＳ）
