    SACDだからなのか、録音が素晴らしい。芯がしっかりしていながら柔らかく、まるで音が手で触れることができるかのよう。値段は少々張るが、それだけの価値は十分ある。 楽曲的には、どちらかと言うとモーツァルトよりはハイドンの影響が大か。1805年に作曲されたとのことで、ちょうどその前年に書かれたフンメルの比較的よく知られている３つの弦楽四重奏曲（これも作品番号30）同様、１９世紀初頭のウィーンの雰囲気が良く現れている。 ３曲ともに聴き応えがあるが、特にニ長調作品30−3（CDでは２曲目）はハイドンからシューベルトに至る推移がよくわかる素材が散見されて興味深い。

    この場合、モダン楽器の演奏も欲しくなるところ。ちなみに、”簡潔で明解な構造にメロディアスで美しい反復進行”と言う表現はやや見当違いの所も見受けられると思う(op.4-3の最終楽章の構造は同時代はおろか後の時代も余り見受けられないエピソード構造があり、それを聴くと凄い不意打ち感があるように思われる)。 なお、『簡潔で明解な構造』なのは第1曲だけ。ただ、それでも聴いて損はないので食指が動いたら、手に取ることを考えてみてください、と思う。
