    SACDだからなのか、録音が素晴らしい。芯がしっかりしていながら柔らかく、まるで音が手で触れることができるかのよう。値段は少々張るが、それだけの価値は十分ある。 楽曲的には、どちらかと言うとモーツァルトよりはハイドンの影響が大か。1805年に作曲されたとのことで、ちょうどその前年に書かれたフンメルの比較的よく知られている３つの弦楽四重奏曲（これも作品番号30）同様、１９世紀初頭のウィーンの雰囲気が良く現れている。 ３曲ともに聴き応えがあるが、特にニ長調作品30−3（CDでは２曲目）はハイドンからシューベルトに至る推移がよくわかる素材が散見されて興味深い。

    以前、かれこれ発売されるかどうかやきもきしていた曲だ。 これらの曲は、解説で書かれている印象とは違い、むしろ当時勃興の兆しのあったロマン派とでも思えるような要素に彩られている。 ただ、単純に(初期)ロマン派であるかのような楽曲ではなく、さらになにか一ひねりを加えている... 一度まとまった形で作った曲が部分部分『発作的』に引きちぎられ、別の接着剤で強引につなげられ、それを何気なく自然な感じに整え直したふりをして風変わりな造形にしていく。 これは同時代の”引き分け相手”ベートーヴェンでさえ行わなかった曲の造形法だ。ちょっと聴きにはベートーヴェンより保守的な印象があるため、それらの実験がかえって違和感を際立たせる。 だが、一つ残念なのは、その造形法がこなれていない印象があるのでその点は減点にさせていただく。 ピアノ・ソナタではないヴェルフル。ピアノ・ソナタよりももっと魅力的だ。
