Product Description

Two CD set containing a newly discovered studio album recorded by the legendary Hans Georg Brunner-Schwer in Villingen. These tapes were recorded five days after the legendary live performance at the 1968 Montreux Jazz Festival, which were released on Verve and won a Grammy. This is the only Evans studio album for trio featuring bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Jack DeJohnette. Liner notes include new historical essays, interviews and previously unpublished photos.

発掘音源というストーリーを抜きにしても、これは名盤だ！ゴメスの歌うようなソロ、ディジョネットの絶妙ブラシ、そしてエヴァンスの彼らとの対話…。音質も驚異的にGood！本当にこれって50年近く前の録音？

今世紀最大云々ということで早速買いました。なるほど、、聴いていて何か新鮮でした。ライブ盤は世界中にいろいろあるようですが、スタジオ録音はすでに出尽くしていると思っていたので、4/10まで生きていてよかったという思いです。でも、このCDにはデータ上の不備がありました。カーナビのミュージックサーバーに入れるとdisk2の4曲目のタイトル上に意味不明の漢字が表示されます。自分で再度タイトルを再編集して直しましたが、、。歴史的なCDなので、このことが残念でした。できたら、完璧なCDであってほしかったです。音楽性は☆５つですが、これで☆マイナス３にします。
