It only takes thirty seconds of listening to this edition played against even the SMH-cd edition to hear the difference. Bottomless bass, full timbral bloom around each instrument, totally involving presentation of a dynamic performance. Very exciting indeed. No sense of compression evident. Try it on a high resolution system and you will be gobsmacked. Even a modest system should show the improvements.
I wish all discs were produced this way, as an antidote to the plague of compression ruining music at
