The former co-leader of the Austrian INCOGNITO (with Peter COUNT Legat) presents his first album under his name (with a lot of originals and some standards as well) and shows how tasty a piano-trio can be! Saturday Feeling - a honestly refreshing Jazz Piano Trio CD with an excellent selection of Originals and Standard compositions. With great taste and a very good hand for arrangements, Robert Schnherr indeed did a very good record. Not only the incredible sound but also the really swinging collaboration of Joschi and Andi should definitely be mentioned. I congratulate those three musicians with big respect to a truly succesful production. For an explanation simply look at the title itself as well as the front cover marias raga r. schnherr this song is dedicated to my wife maria. raga, which means what influences or affects one's mind, is an Indian sequence of tones, which should put the listener into a raga-specific mood - maria's pictures have often put me into a specific mood. The sitar is the most important instrument in this kind of music and in some parts it's characteristic sound will come through. Accelerando r. schnherr accelerando - getting faster - a somewhat tricky piece by myself. Just friends j. klenner this arrangement of a well-known standard is dedicated to my fellow combatants andi and joschi - more than just friends. Porgy & bess suite g. gershwin this arrangement was written for a tribute night at the jazz club porgy & bess. It is my way of honouring george gershwin as well as the beautiful club in Vienna's riemergasse nature boy e. abhez an arrangement of an often played standard - I like the minor mode s'wonderful g. gershwin s'wonderful! saturday feeling (alternate take) r. schnherr repeated due to great success two special ladies r. schnherr to my daughters martina and sabine - very special ladies!
