舞い上り傾向強い20曲「GH!!」は私は疲れる。それよりボーナスディスク収録の[デモ]がゆとりのある音楽/歌で好ましい。２枚組に成った事で相当に魅力/味わいが増している。できれば[Live]で「Girl’s Talk」を収録して欲しかった。

初期のコステロらしい優れたナンバーもある。所謂”ポップでパンキッシュなコステロ好き”(そういうのをEC自身も最も嫌うだろうが)には「最高」とまで言わしめる作品。私にはどれもピッチが高くて疲れる、”生き急いでいる”としか思えない雑な音楽。「酒を飲み、酷い躁状態で、血が頭に上り切ったレコード ―Elvis Costello」
