Originally released in 1969 following the departure of Kevin Ayers, VOLUME TWO is a more experimental and ambitious album that it's predecessor. With Robert Wyatt as the driving force and the addition of Hugh Hopper on bass, VOLUME TWO is progressive rock at it's finest, blending psych, jazz and pop with enough whimsy and humor to keep from getting stale.

1stのダダポップと3rdのジャズ･ロックの中間点の佳作。後年のジャズくさいSOFT MACHINEが好きでないブリティッシュ・ポップファンなら1stと2ndを入手するといい。
