バンドの「ラストワルツ」、「ウットドストック」などの監督、マーティン・スコセッシ総監修の力作。 作品的に力入ってるけど、このＢＯＸも超豪華盤です。 スコセッシ監督作『フィールズ・ライク・ゴーイング・ホーム』、 「ブエナビスタ・ソシアル・クラブ」のベンダース監督作『ソウル・オブ・マン』、 チャーリー・パーカーの「バード」を作ったクリント・イーストウッド監督作『ピアノ・ブルース』が良かった。 そして、一番心に残ったのは、「リービング・ラスベガス」を手掛けた英国人マイク・フィギス監督作 『レッド、ホワイト＆ブ

ついに購入！映画館でも見たのですが、全作品を手元に揃えておきたくて・・・ 私のお気に入りは『ゴッドファーザー＆サン』。チャック・Ｄがシカゴブルースの名門 「チェスレコード」の歴史を追っていく内容ですが、マディ・ウォーターズ、ココ・テ イラーなどの映像が涙モノです。ついでに若い頃のアイク・ターナーなんかも映ってい ます。 限定品で人気があったらしく、かなり探して買いました。

やっと発売されました。ブルースファンにとっては喜ばしいリリースです。 中でも劇場未公開の「ピアノ・ブルース」はクリント・イーストウッド監督の作品でとても興味を惹きました。レイ・チャールズやオスカー・ピーターソンなど有名ブルース・ピアニストらのドキュメンタリーで贅沢な作品です。レイ・チャールズとイーストウッドの話す姿は見ているこっちも楽しく思えてきます。 レイ・チャールズファンにとっては永久保存版間違いなし。 ボーナスディスクもあり、得した気分です。
