批判的なコメントが散見されますが、全く何様なんでしょう？間違いを聞き分けた耳への承認欲求ですか？ そういうの誰も望んでいません。 私はこの時のこの演奏を後代に伝えたい。

かの宇野功芳氏が薦めていたと記憶しているが、そう言われてみればフルトヴェングラーの次に功芳氏の第九に似ているかもしれない。 モニュメンタルな演奏の記録で、バーンスタイン最晩年独特のためや重さはあるが、即席編成から来るアンサンブルの乱れやリハーサル不足のせいか、第1楽章など表現そのものに不徹底さや曖昧さが散見され、指揮者の体調の悪さも伴い十全な成果を生んでいるとは言い難い。 それでも、第4楽章は臨時編成の合唱とオケの総勢がシラーの詩とベートーヴェンの理念とバーンスタインの指揮の元、全力を尽くして音楽的な感興を作り出し、長きに渡った母国の東西分裂の解消に歓びの歌を奏で、他に代え難いパッションを生み出している。 第4楽章の後半以降に尋常ならざる盛り上がりを見せているのが、この特別なコンサートの証しかと感じる。

音を　聴くのか、音楽を　聴くのか？？？？　音を聴くなら　早晩　コンヒュータが　何の苦も無く　文部省唱歌を　奏でて呉れる筈。魂の入った　音楽を　ご所望なら　文句無し。世評の高い　ウィーンフィルなんぞ　聴くに値せん。ヽ(^o^)丿
