Richard and Karen Carpenter closed their contract as "Carpenters" with a major record label on April 22, 1969. 40years on from then, on April 22, 2009, their best collections selected by Japanese fans will be launched!

The collections is a Japan-exclusive promotion to commemorate Carpenters's 40th anniversary. A total, volumeful 40 tracks on 2 discs have been voted in by fans who accessed the Carpenters official website (within Universal Music)!!

This is truly the best of the best Carpenters tracks, all the selected titles being most popular among not only their fans but music lovers in general!
