Weller New Album & Reissues!

Paul Weller's new album in 3 years and his 9th to date, "22 Dreams" will finally arrive! For the very first time Paul is putting out a double-disc album with tons of tracks on 'em!

As already told in various music news the album boasts guest contributions from a gorgeous group of artists: Noel Gallagher and Gem Archer from Oasis, Little Barrie, Aziz Ibrahim who once was with Stone Roses, Graham Coxon who collaborated with Weller in "This Old Town" which was only available on 7-inch disc or digital, as well as the good old Steve Cradock from Ocean Colour Scene!

The advance single is "Echoes Round The Sun"under Weller/Gallagher credit. Noel brought in the base track of the song, which him, Gem and Weller together developed into a proper song. Noel actually stays away from his usual guitars and backing vocals but plays the bass and piano instead. Apparently Paul Weller himself is pretty much thrilled with what came about!

As for the release, the import version of the album is due on 2nd June, and its initial limited version will be in a hardcover format with a 32-page booklet and a special bonus CD with 8 demo tracks!

It is likely Weller will tour for the album, and he is already scheduled to play Summer Sonic '08 - 9th August in Tokyo and 10th August in Osaka!

All of Weller's top classic titles are to be reissued in SHM-CD format, packaged in paper jacket sleeves!
