第56回グラミー賞決定！現地時間の1月26日（日本時間1月27日）ロサンゼルスのステープルズ・センターにて米最大の音楽祭典、グラミー賞の受賞アーティスト/作品が発表されました！
最多ノミネートはジェイ・Zの9部門。続いてマックルモア＆ライアン・ルイス、ファレル・ウィリアムス、ジャスティン・ティンバーレイクらが 7部門でノミネートされておりました。 さて、その気になる結果は...？
主要部門の「Album Of The Year（最優秀アルバム賞）」は、フランスのダンス・ユニット、ダフト・パンクの『Random Access Memories』が獲得！ 大ヒットシングル「Get Lucky」の「Record Of The Year（最優秀レコード賞）」と共に主要2部門、ノミネートされた5部門全てで最優秀賞に。
「Song Of The Year(最優秀楽曲賞）」は弱冠17歳とは思えぬヴォーカルとサウンドで高い評価を得たニュージーランド出身の女性シンガー、ロードの「Royals」、 「Best New Artist（最優秀新人賞）」はマドンナとのパフォーマンスが印象的だった白人ラップ・デュオ、マックルモア＆ライアン・ルイスに決定しました。
ダフト・パンクは授賞式でスティーヴィー・ワンダー、ナイル・ロジャース、ファレル・ウィリアムスと「Get Lucky」をパフォーマンス。彼らのアルバムを手がけたファレル・ウィリアムスは最優秀プロデューサー賞に輝くなど、今回のグラミーの顔はまさに「ダフト・パンク」 だったと言っても過言ではないでしょう。
日本では「One More Time」のイメージが強いダフト・パンクでしたが、グラミーの栄冠を手にしたことにより、 世界を舞台に活躍するスーパー・アーティストとなったことを見事証明してくれました！ 今後の活躍にも期待です！
