If you are a Bruckner fan, don’t waste your time on this recording.

This is an amazing set of Bruckner, especially the fourth and the eighth.
The sound is smooth and vibrant while the tempi reflects Celi’s understanding of these masterpieces.

The sound of this set is OK considering those recordings were made in the 50s. But I do not appreciate Celibidache’s interpretation of Ops. 68, 98. The others are average at best. In sum, this set is for Celibidache fans.
