These are two symphonies new to Ormandy’s repertoire and late in his career. He grasped the nuances perfectly. The RCA sound of that time was perfection and this CD should be in every collection for lovers of Dvorak.

フィラデルフィアサウンドの神髄を聴いた思い。８番はゆったりしすぎの嫌いもあり、２楽章はブロムシュテットの後塵を拝するが、７番は無敵。第３楽章には涙が出ました。７番はもう最右翼的演奏でこの上ないもの。生涯唯一の演奏とはまさに一期一会の演奏。オーマンディー乾坤一擲のタクトである。
