    ベルリオーズ最後のオベラ。ヴェルディのファルスタッフと同じく練達の傑作喜劇だ。オペラコミックは、台詞が多く、音楽と共に演技、セリフ回しが見れて漸く全貌が掴める。その意味で価値のある記録だ。オケ、指揮ともに手堅く、変な演出だけどポップで楽しめる。ドストラックが、どうしたわけかやや不調で減点だが、他は高水準。ベルリオーズの天才を知るのに何の不都合もない。
