Iolanta is a masterpiece, and this film-opera is truly beautiful. However, the pitch of this DVD is not correct; a semitone higher than normal.

いまだに、派手好きのメロディーメーカーと誤解されている作曲者の、本当の姿を理解できる一枚。 単純なストーリーに乗るさりげない、しかし深々とした音楽。メロディーの美しさだって後期の名作に負けてはいない。
