    平林氏によるオープンリール・テープを使った復刻盤は、素晴らしい出来栄えです。オーケストラの編成のせいか分厚い響きは期待できませんが、実に瑞々しい演奏で、また、ワルター流のバスを効かせたところも生々しく響きます。演奏、音質ともに新鮮です。この復刻盤の発売を待った甲斐がありました。
