村上春樹はかつて「すべての美しい心持ちも無と化していくが、ある特別な場合には形を変えてひっそりと受け継がれる」という趣旨のことを、「ポートレイト・イン・ジャズ」の中で、ジューン・クリスティとスタン・ケントンの「Ｄｕｅｔ」を評して書いた。その表現は、むしろこのアルバムにふさわしい。５０年余の時を超えて甦った本作は、このうえなく可憐で切なく、そして美しい。

The sound quality if just excellent.
