天空を司るギター・マイスター、仙神「ウリ・ジョン・ロート」が壮大なるスケールで綴る天界創世の一大叙事詩、オリジナル・アルバムとしては実に5 年振りとなるニュー・アルバム。匠の技が描き出す唯一無二の玲瓏たる世界観、「シンフォニック・レジェンド」第１章……ここに結実。
2003年発表の『Metamorphosis』以来5年ぶりの新作リリースとなる『Under A Dark Sky』はUli Jon Rothが創造する「シンフォニック・レジェンズ」シリーズの第1弾。各レジェンズは、継続した物語の章のようになっていて、時間、生命、内宇宙を駆ける旅のシリーズで「曲」のコンセプトは存在せず、代わりに一つの壮大な曲が存在するそうです。Uli自身が語るところによれば、この作品は彼がクリエイトしてきた作品の中で群を抜いてダークなものであるらしく、今後もこの作品以上ダークな作品は出来ないだろうとの事。しかし、天空の使者Uliの事ですから深い世界観を持った物語でファンをUliワールドへ導いてくれる事でしょう！！！！

本作『Under A Dark Sky』には2つの組曲を含んだ全10曲が収録される予定で、ヴォーカルで参加しているMark BoalsとLiz Vandall（元Sahara !!!)の2人が素晴らしい歌声を聴かせてくれるそうです。中でも10曲目の「タンツ・イン・ディー・デンマルング〜落日の舞踏」はUli曰くこのアルバムの「圧巻」だそうで、3つのメインセクションから更に12の小曲に細かく分かれているいるという大作で、タイトルは彼の父で小説家/ジャーナリストだったカール・ヨゼフ・ロートが執筆した小説から取られたものだそうです。また盟友Ule Ritgenがアルバム・ブックレットのアートワークを担当している事も見逃せません。
