ファッブリチアーニ(1949)：Glaciers in extinctionロベルト・ファッブリチアーニ（hyperbass flute）
巨大な超低音フルート（C管 ダブル・コントラバス・フルート）を用いた管楽器マニア必聴のユニークなアルバム。ファッブリチアーニは1949年にアレッツォに生まれたイタリアのフルーティストで、古楽から現代音楽まで幅広くなんでもこなす腕前には定評があります。
今回彼が吹奏する楽器はフルートの極限の姿を示すものとも言われるもので、ほとんど建物の配管のような、そのメタリックに輝く巨大な姿には異様なものがあります。
この巨大楽器を用いて彼が今回取り組んだ作品が、滅び行く氷河を描いたという“Glaciers in extinction”という自ら書いた音楽。期待度の高い作品です。
