It is called Blu-ray because it uses a blue-violet laser that's focused to produce an incredibly precise pinpoint of light - five times smaller than the beam falling on the surface of a DVD.

Jose Cura and Dmitri Hvorostovsky lead the star cast of Verdi’s blazingly passionate opera, in Elijah Moshinsky’s Royal Opera House production co-produced with Teatro Real Madrid, with sets by the noted Italian film designer Dante Ferretti.

トロヴァトーレの映像ではなかなか満足のい...

トロヴァトーレの映像ではなかなか満足のいくものがなく、カラヤンの78年のウィーンのもので我慢していたが、このコヴェント・ガーデン盤はなかなかいい。ホロストフスキーのルーナ伯爵とネフのアズチェーナが特に素晴らしく、舞台も見ものである。クーラは平均的だがそれなりにいいと思うが、レオノーラがちょっと、、、なんでこのソプラノなのかかなり疑問、リッツィの指揮は時折聴かせるものの基本的には腑抜けた感じが否めない、個人的な好みかもしれないがトロヴァトーレにはもっと男性的でキレたようなところに欲しい。そうはいっても現時点では総合的に最も満足度のある映像なので星4つ。

ルーナ伯爵(ホロストフスキー)、マンリーコ(ホセ・クーラ)のイケメン２人に、コクられるレオノーラが羨ましい！！ホロストフスキーファンの方は買って損をしないのではないでしょうか？

クーラ目当てに購入しましたが、ホロストフスキーのルーナ伯爵にすっかり魅了されてしまいました。何しろあのクーラの声が軽く聞こえてしまいましたから。とともに“二人は実は兄弟”という設定に初めて納得できました。二人とも声がいいはずです。そして、ルーナ伯爵って実は“お坊っちゃん”なんですね！先代から仕える“じいや”が、そばではらはらするのも無理ありません(^_^;)
