「北欧のビル・エヴァンス」こと、トーマス・クラウセンをリーダーに、トーマス・フランク、イェスパー・ルンゴーら北欧のスター・プレイヤー、そしてアメリカの大御所ビリー・ハートで新たに結成されたクァルテット。この新グループで2014年秋にコペンハーゲン・ツアーを行い、その際にスタジオ録音されたアルバムが登場!

近年はブラジル音楽やタンゴにも傾倒していたトーマス・クラウセンだが、「ブルー・レイン」では彼が愛したメロディック・ジャズに回帰。5曲のオリジナル曲に、デューク・エリントンの「Prelude To A Kiss」、ゲスト参加したデンマークのシンガー、セシリア・ハイクの「Spring Is A Promise Of Fall」が加わり、クラウセンの魅力を凝縮したレイジーでリリカルな素晴らしきアルバムが完成した。
