    司馬さんが本名「福田定一」の名で刊行したこの著作は、書かれている内容も興味深いのですが、発展途上の文体が後年の司馬さんと違っているのが面白いです。いわば「坂の下の文」ですが、鋭い観察力や豊富な知識は、さすがです。
