    ロバート・B・バーカー「夢をみるかもしれない/おそらくは夢を」を読んだ。原書で読みたかったのだけれど入手困難なので、本作を手に取りページをめくる。映画 ”三つ数えろ” の影響かどうしても、雨を連想してしまう。冒頭で依頼人（と読者）に自己紹介する Marlowe が印象的。登場人物がみな、なにかしらの理由で下を向いたまま、なんの救いもないまま終幕を迎える。窓の外の雨音がBGMになる。
