1990年デジタル録音。激しく悲しくしかも荒々しいというロシア的な属性をきわめた素晴らしいプロコフィエフ演奏。西側で洗練され過ぎてしまったこの作品に本来のロシアン・パワーを回復したプロコフィエフのエキスパート、ゲルギエフ会心のレコーディングと言えるでしょう。こういう演奏で聴けば全曲版と抜粋版の質的な違いは明白です。
