We're happy to present an unreleased live recording of the concert held in Ludwigsburg (Germany) on 11 July 1956, featuring the great pianist Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli (1920-1995) with the Symphonieorchester des Süddeutschen Rundfunks conducted by Antoine-Pierre de Bavier. With lovingly restored sound - digitally remastered. The Ludwigsburg concert, here presented in its entirety, represents Antoine-Pierre de Bavier’s first cooperation with Michelangeli. De Bavier and the legendary Italian pianist were good friends and gave other concerts together. A fresh, illuminating and refined mid twentieth-century interpreting approach. Piano lovers in particular will find once again new delight in the purity of Michelangeli’s incomparable style. Recorded in Ludwigsburg, Schloss, Barocktheater on July 11, 1956 during the Fünftes Deutsches Mozartfest der Deutschen Mozart-Gesellschaft im Rahmen der Ludwigsburger Schloßkonzerte und in Verbindung mit den Württembergischen Staatstheatern und der Stadt Ludwigsburg.
