この全集には3台のピアノ協奏曲はない。 最も重要な作品が収録されていない。 --カール・エンゲル, ティル・エンゲル(Pf) ザルツブルク・モーツァルテウム管弦楽団　指揮レオポルド・ハーガー--最も優れた演奏者のCDが世の中から消えている。 世界は破壊に向かっている。

Buchbinderのピアノは、気品に溢れ明快であり、モーツァルトに誠実に取り組む姿勢が伝わってくる。ライブ録音とは思えないむらのない音作りである。但し、弾き振りライブによる難しさも出ているようだ。特にティンパニが加わる5番、13番、16番、22番、24番、25番はティンパニが突出している。スケール感が出るものの、音合わせ不足、プロデューサー等々の気配り不足ではないか。ピアノも流しているのでは、観客を意識しすぎではと感じてしまう所がある。これに対して、20番、21番、26番、27番、特に後の2曲は名演。弦楽器が相変わらず美しくティンパニも適度に聞こえる。現役のピアニストでこれだけ真摯に自然体でモーツァルトを弾く人は貴重な存在だと思う。ピアノソナタへの取り組みも期待したい。
