惜しい！本当に惜しい！アキレス〜と「俺の...

惜しい！本当に惜しい！アキレス〜と「俺の罪」の曲順を逆にしていれば文句なし、トータルで最強のロックアルバムになっていただろう。アキレス〜を初っ端にもってこざるを得なかったところが彼らの当時の内なる迷いを図らずも反映している。これが例えば4thのころの彼らだったらこの曲順にはしなかったはずだ。リリース当時の時代背景も違う、単純に比較することは無意味と知りつつも、どうしても歯がゆさを感じてしまう・・・個々の楽曲それぞれの出来栄えは素晴らしいだけに本当に残念！

このアルバムもリアルタイムで聴いていた。とにかく、ZEPにのめり込んでいた時だったね。偉大なバンドですよ。俺の罪のジョンボーナムのドラム最高！ロバートのヴォーカル、ジミーのギターもいいけど、何と言っても、ジョンボーナムのドラムが最高！とにかく強い衝撃を受けたよ。彼なしには、ZEPPELINはあり得ないと言っても過言ではない。そんだけの存在感がある。ジョンボーナム様バンザイ！

「Achilles Last Stand」で音の塊が疾走するスピード感、スケール感は圧倒的。「Royal Orleans」もハードな名曲です。ラストを「Tea For One」で締める構成も絶妙。全体的に鋭いエッジの利いた曲が並んでおり、緊迫感が半端じゃありません。名盤！！
