名演奏とされるライブ。完全収録されたボックスセットを買ったのだが、 マニア以外は正直言って抜粋で十分と思う。２日目の 「インディア」から「スピリチュアル」への流れがかっこいい。 時々出てくるエリック・ドルフィーのとんがったソロも聴き所。 可能な限り大きな音で聴きたい。

生々しいライヴの音。”VillageVanguard-1961Live”から再び欧州ツアーで成功を収める。史上最強のメンバーを得て、前衛へのアプローチを示唆し始めた時期か。部屋の明かりを落として、結構な音量で今再び音楽に酔ってしまった。アルバムデザイン、英文ライナーも絵画、写真など秀逸な出来具合です。かっての「入りにくいJazz喫茶」や「薀蓄を語る近寄り難い輩」を想い出してしまった。コルトレーンはじめメンバーのモチベーションも高い。「この音楽に酔って、非日常の世界」を堪能できます。人体には無害でしょうから安心です。２０１０年地方都市にもはや「Jazz喫茶」は皆無。「Coffee一杯で２時間」が暗黙の了解の時代でした。
