Digitally re-mastered and expanded edition in mini LP sleeve. No further collaborations exist between John Coltrane and either Kenny Dorham or Cecil Taylor. This session was originally issued as HARD DRIVING JAZZ by the Cecil Taylor Quintet. The trio date added as a bonus, which presents Trane's only other reading of 'Like Someone in Love' (he would never record any of the other tracks from COLTRANE TIME again), was originally issued on the Prestige LP LUSH LIFE.

58年録音。もともとはセシル・テイラーのリーダー作として録音されたが、おりからのコルトレーン人気に便乗してこのタイトルになった。中身は今ひとつテンションに欠ける気がしないでもないが・・・しかし悪いはずはない。テイラーのフリーっぷりと、まだまだメロディーを基本としてアドリブするコルトレーンのギクシャク具合が異様に面白い。
