1981年に発表されたＦ・ビート第二弾となるアルバム。本作前にはアトラクションズ単独のアルバムもリリースされていた。そのアトラクションズとのコンビネーションも相変わらず絶好調なところを見せた一枚で、前々作『アームド〜』のポップ色、前作『ゲット・ハッピー』でのＲ＆Ｂ色を感じさせる作風の中間を狙おうとした、との発言も頷ける作風となっている。M7、8、10はコステロが若干17歳のときに書いたナンバー。特にM8はお気に入りのカントリー歌手タミー・ウィネットを想定して書いた楽曲とのことで次作『オールモスト・ブルー』で一大展開されるカントリー好きな一面を見せてくれる。第二弾シングルとなったM9ではスクイーズのグレン・ティルブルックがヴォーカル、ルーモアのマーティン・ベルモントがギターで参加。

ボーナス・トラック大幅追加、リマスターのアップリフティング盤。

Disc1「トラスト」は(1)(3)(7)(8)(14)あたりに尽き、コステロが「袋小路のAlbum」と言う通り精彩を欠く。しかし、ボーナスDisc2が、(1)を始まりにオリジナルアルバム以上に活躍し耳を愉しませてくれる。それでも、入手するには他のコステロを聴いてからで遅くない。
